Where We Fish
Columbia River – With over 1,000 miles of flowing water from the mouth of the river in Astoria, Oregon to the headwaters in British Columbia, Canada, the mighty Columbia River offers many fishing opportunities for bass, salmon, sturgeon, and walleye. Since 1993, our primary fishing locations are:
- Lower Columbia River from Buoy 10 in Astoria to the Bonneville Dam
- Bonneville to the Dalles Dam
- The Dalles to John Day Dam
- John Day to McNary Dam projects
Experiencing Oregon’s Waterways
While fishing the upper stretches of the Columbia River, there are many chances to see incredible natural waterfalls in the Columbia River Gorge and to appreciate the rugged beauty of the High Desert landscape east of the Cascade Mountain range. Nature also shows off regularly on the Columbia River with opportunities to see bald eagles, ospreys, migrating waterfowl, deer and other marine mammals from the water.

When do you fish for Spring Chinook ?
March, April, May, and June, are the Spring Chinook Salmon fishing months.
When does Fall Coho season occur?
Coho Salmon are agressive and put up a great fight August, Setember, and October during our guided fishing trips.

Where do your Sturgeon Fishing Trips take place?
White Sturgeon guided trips are primarily freshwater dwellers so we take you to the Columbia and Willamette Rivers. Steelhead fishing is a year round endeavor so it’s always a good time.
When can you fish for Bass in Oregon?
Oregon hosts some of the best Smallmouth Bass fishing in the country. These fishing trips are offered annually during April, May, June, July, August, September, and October.
When is Walleye season?
It’s estimated that the next world record Walleye will come from the NW region. March, April, May, June, July, August, September, and October are all great months to fish for Walleye. Will you bring in the next world record fish?

Willamette River – One of the largest tributaries of the Columbia River, the
Willamette River offers a unique fishery where you can connect to nature right out Portland’s back door. Flowing through the Willamette Valley and connecting many of Oregon’s major cities, the Willamette River has many fishing opportunities for bass, salmon, sturgeon and walleye. Our primary fishing location on the Willamette River extends from Oregon City to the confluence of the Willamette and Columbia rivers at Kelly Point Park. While fishing on the Willamette, you could see an epic waterfall, industrial
shipbuilding and natural volcanic formations located along the river. The
Willamette River also provides visitors perfect water for paddle boarding, water skiing, wake boarding, canoeing, and swimming. Other popular fishing destinations available with All About Adventure Excursions:
